Ephedra diet pills are back, temporarily. After ephedra was banned the numbers of people still searching for the ephedra herb in weight loss pills remained high. Millions of people searched for these products even after the government said they were illegal. To me that alone speaks to the power and effectiveness of this simple herb. If it was so dangerous or did not work, then why did so many people search for ephedra diet pills? Well, in early 2005 a Judge from Utah said the FDA had not proven that lower dosages of ephedra (10mg) was dangerous. So ephedra diet pills like Stacker, Diet Fuel, Xenadrine and others rapidly popped back up on the internet for sale amid a flurry of questions as to whether it was legal or not to sell ephedra products. Also about this time many major companies that had produced these products were going bankrupt mainly from lawsuits but also from lost sales. Insurance companies will not provide coverage to producers of ephedra products so many will never make ephedra diet products again. Now the law is in the process of being rewritten to give the FDA power to ban ephedra again, permanently. It remains to be seen whether or not this slightly reworded law that give the FDA more teeth to remove ephedra diet pills will pass. If the FDA has anything to say, ephedra is on the way out.

Maybe not tomorrow, or next month but soon. Forever. .
